This book is basically an autobiography of a gay black woman living in America. (i know you couldn't guess that by the title!) It talks a lot about the women's movement and a lot about the civil rights movement and how even though they were both liberation movements for an oppressed people, they didn't really work together or even necesarily like the other movement.4/5.
